Slush 2024: Expression of Interest for Participation of Cypriot Startups

The Research and Innovation Foundation, in the context of investigating interest in participating in the Slush 2024 event, would like to inform interested parties about its intention to organize a Cypriot Delegation to the event and to record the potential interest of newly established companies in joining the Cyprus Mission at the event.

The Slush 2024 event (Slush 2024 | The Most Founder-Focused Event On Earth | Nov 20–21), taking place in Helsinki on November 20–21, 2024, is a two-day festival-conference that brings together over 5,000 representatives from startups, giving them the opportunity to promote their products, attract new customers, showcase their activities, and network with other companies and potential investors, expected to exceed 3,000 attendees at this year’s event.

The Cypriot Delegation at the Slush 2024 event is an initiative of the RIF, as the national funding Agency for Research and Innovation (R&I), within the framework of its actions to promote Cyprus’s innovation ecosystem abroad and provide support to newly established companies in the domestic ecosystem.

Startups that participate in the event as members of the Cypriot Delegation will have the opportunity to organize meetings with investors and attend specialized workshops and mentoring sessions. Additionally, participants will have the right to participate in various parallel activities, such as the Founders Day and Slush Week Side Events.

It is noted that the expression of interest at this stage is exploratory for purposes of recording the size of interest and does not guarantee automatic participation of interested parties in the Slush 2024 event or the Cypriot Delegation. The Foundation will announce later, after receiving necessary approvals from competent national authorities, an invitation detailing the related participation terms and the selection process for inclusion in the Cypriot Delegation.

Expressions of interest can be submitted by Newly Established Companies (up to 5 years from the date of their establishment) and are available via this link. The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is June 14, 2024, at 13:00.
