New Call for Proposals of the «PRIMA» Programme (P2P/PRIMA/0324)
The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces the new call for proposals for the “PRIMA” programme.
The PRIMA programme aims to face common challenges of the Mediterranean region such as climate change, food security, water scarcity and unsustainable agrifood systems. More specifically, it contains the following thematic areas
- Thematic Area 1 – Water Management
- Thematic Area 2 – Farming Systems
- Thematic Area 3 – Agri-food value chain
The programme contains two calls split in Section 1 and Section 2 with a total budget of €62.680.000.
- Section 1 call is fully managed by PRIMA and funded by the EC.
- Section 2 is managed by PRIMA and funded by the Participating States.
Cypriot entities are eligible to participate in both calls.
Section 1
The total budget of Section 1 is €27.900.000.
Proposals have to be submitted to a dedicated platform found on the website of PRIMA and the deadline for proposal submissions is 2nd of April 2024, 17.00 (CET).
All Cypriot entities are eligible to participate, given that they are part of a consortium that satisfies the eligibility criteria set in the PRIMA call text.

Section 2
The total budget of Section 2 is €34.780.000, while the national total budget is €400.000, and the maximum funding per project is €200.000
Proposals have to be submitted to a dedicated platform found on the website of PRIMA and the deadline for proposal submissions is 4th of April 2024, 17.00 (CET).
Moreover, the Cypriot consortia need to submit information about their proposal through the IRIS portal and the deadline for submissions is the 11th of April 2024, 13.00 (local time).
Entities eligible to participate in this programme include Research Organisations, Enterprises and Other Organisations.
