New Call for Applications of the Sponsorships Programme (SPONSORSHIPS/0323)

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces the new call for proposals for the Sponsorships Programme (SPONSORSHIPS/0323).

The RIF’s Sponsorships Programme promotes the Foundation’s strategic goal of nurturing a Culture of Research and Innovation (R&I) in the ecosystem and the wider public through actions that support R&I, including skills development. The Programme includes the following actions:

  1. Organisation of Events to promote research, technological development and innovation to the public,
  2. Organisation of Events to promote digital skills, STEM, as well as their use in innovation and entrepreneurship, and

III.        Representation of Cyprus in International Science, Research and Innovation Competitions.

The call budget is €340.000, and the maximum funding is:

  • €40.000 for a Large Scale Event,
  • €10.000 for a Medium Scale Event,
  • €500 per team member that represents Cyprus in an International Competition.

Entities eligible to participate in this programme include:

  • entities legally established and active in territories under the control of the Republic of Cyprus, or
  • team leaders who are responsible for the Representation of Cyprus in an International Competition.

Proposals have to be submitted by sending the relevant application form at [email protected]. The Programme is divided in two Periods thus:

1st Period: Implementation period 15/04/2023 -15/11/2023 with deadline 31/03/2023.

2nd Period: Implementation period 16/11/2023 – 15/06/2024 with deadline 31/10/2023.

For the Representation of Cyprus in International Competitions, applications need to be submitted before 31/05/2024 or until budget exhaustion.

Part of this Programme is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility of the NextGenerationEU instrument. The Programme is also funded by funds of the Republic of Cyprus.
