Completion of RIF’s INNOVA Challenge Finals

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces the completion of the Finals of the RIF’s student competition INNOVA Challenge.

 

The competition was announced on the 7th of December 2021 and the deadline for submission of expressions of interest was on the 9th of February 2022. The Finals took place on the 30th of May 2022 in Limassol, in the frame of an event open to the public.

 

5 teams of 25 students in total took part in the Finals with the support of their coaches.

 

The Special Evaluation Committee consisted of the following experts:

 

  • Dr. Nikolas Mastroyiannopoulos, Chief Scientist for Research and Innovation of the Republic of Cyprus and Chair of RIF’s Board of Directors
  • Dr. Athena Michaeldou, Director of the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute
  • Mr. Menelaos Menelaou, Head of Academic Affairs and Student Welfare Service, University of Cyprus
  • Ms. Stavriana Kofteros, Vice Chair of the RIF’s Board of Directors and Member of the EIC Investment Committee

 

The winners of the competitions will be announced during the Awards Ceremony which will take place on the 30th of September 2022 in the frame of the European Researchers’ Night 2022 in Nicosia.

 

RIF would like to congratulate all participants, as well as their coaches, parents and guardians who supported their journey to develop innovative solutions for the challenges of today, mobilising the creativity of the new generation.
