Call for Proposals for the Proof of Concept Programme (CONCEPT/0722)
The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) would like to inform interested parties for the announcement of the new Call for Proposals of the «Proof of Concept for Technology / Knowhow Applications» Programme. (CONCEPT/0722), with a Total Call Budget of €700.000 and maximum funding per project of €40.000.
The Programme aims at the preliminary investigation of possible industrial applications of a technology/knowhow. Through this Programme it is expected that beneficiary Organisations will have the opportunity to verify the industrial application potential of a technology/knowhow before being involved in a broader scale research project of Technological Development and Innovation.
A budget of €200.000 from the Total Call Budget will be dedicated to projects falling under the Priority Sectors of Transport – Shipping, ICT or Sustainable Growth – Environment of the Smart Specialization Strategy, and which concern the investigation of an industrial application of a technology in the field of Shipping for solutions in the following thematic areas:
(1) Remote inspections and surveys of hull, machinery or equipment on board and/or for the remote audit and verification of safety or security management systems,
(2) Digitalization of services provided by the Maritime Administration,
(3) Monitoring and response against cyber threats and attacks,
(4) Prevention and timely response to pollution incidents and maritime casualties within the coastal ecosystem of Cyprus,
(5) Energy Saving, indicatively through the use of alternative fuels.
Additionally, at least 50% of the Total Call Budget will be dedicated to Projects with an Enterprise as the Host Organisation.
The deadline for Proposal Submission is the 7th of October 2022, at 13.00.
