Announcement of Call Results “SEED/1221”

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces the completion of the evaluation of proposals submitted under the call for proposals SEED/1221.

The Call was announced on the 14th of December 2021 and the deadline for submission of proposals was on the 18th of February 2022. The results of the evaluation of proposals have been announced through the IRIS Portal and are available here.

According to the RESTART 2016-2020 Work Programme, Proposals submitted in this Program are evaluated in two Stages. In the First Evaluation Stage, RIF followed a remote evaluation process by two (2) Independent Evaluators. The best ranked applications according to their Final Evaluation Score, starting with the highest scoring proposal and in descending order requesting an aggregated financial support equal to the double of the available Call budget, and provided that they secure a Final Evaluation Score of at least 12.00/15.00, qualify to the Second Stage of the Evaluation.

According to the RESTART 2016  -2020 Host Organisations are entitled to submit a request for redress via their Legal Representative or the Project Coordinator by sending the completed Redress Form through the IRIS portal within seven (7) calendar days from the date of receipt of RIF’s letter notifying the Host Organisation of the results, and in any case no later than ten (10) calendar days from the sending date of the original email notification.

In the Second Stage of Evaluation, RIF will follow the evaluation method of the Scientific Evaluation Committee. The Committee will consist of experts with a business background. Details on the process of conducting the Second Stage of the Evaluation will be sent to the Project Coordinators of the proposals that proceed to the Second Stage. The final decision on the funding of a proposal by RIF is at the discretion of the Scientific Evaluation Committee and there is no possibility to submit a request for redress.
