Production Lines for Innovative Products

The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) is pleased to announce the launch of a market sounding exercise to explore interest and gather insights with regards to using Regulation (EU) 2024/795 “Establishing the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform” (STEP) to launch new funding programmes to finance local companies interested in setting up facilities and production lines for manufacturing new innovative products in the following sectors:

  • digital and deep technology innovation,
  • clean and resource efficient technologies, and
  • biotechnologies

The survey is addressed to Cypriot companies of all sizes with research and development activities and early versions of innovative products.

In the context of the STEP Regulation, development and manufacturing refer to the process of taking products from the test stage to full production for the market.

With regards to the eligibility of entities, STEP provides the possibility to finance small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as large enterprises.
