PRE-SEED/0719(B) Call Results – 1ST Stage
The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announces the completion of the 1st Stage of the Evaluation of Proposals submitted under the Program “CREATION AND INITIAL DEVELOPMENT OF STARTUPs WITH INTERNATIONAL ORIENTATION” in the frame of the Call for Proposals “PRE-SEED/0719(B)”.
The results of the evaluation of proposals can be accessed here.
Proposals for this Call are evaluated in two stages. In the 1st stage, each proposal was evaluated remotely by two (2) experts in the area with good understanding of the relevant business environment. Proposals that received a score of at least 12.00/15.00 proceed to the 2nd stage. In cases where the difference in the score was greater than 3.00/15.00 and the scores were not both below 12.00/15.00, then the proposal was forwarded to a third evaluator.
The second stage of the proposal evaluation procedure is carried out by an Independent Evaluation Committee, formed by experts with business backgrounds. During the 2nd stage of the evaluation procedure, which will take place between 12-23 October 2020, a member of the team presents the project to the Committee. The interviews will be carried out via an online platform, and team members will be requested to join the online session from the RIF’s premises. The Committee may request clarifications and discuss the content of the proposal with the team in charge of project implementation. The final decision regarding the selection of a proposal for funding, is at the discretion of the Committee. More information about the procedure for the 2nd stage of the evaluation will be sent out to the Project Coordinators.
Upon completion of the procedure, the relevant Evaluation Report will be communicated to the Project Coordinator, stating the rationale behind the Committee’s decision. The Committee’s decision is final and there is no option for redress.
The Coordinators and Legal Representatives of the proposals have already been informed about the results of the evaluation of their Proposal through the IRIS Portal.
